I was wondering. Can you import a character into baldur's gate one from baldur's gate two. I am almost close to beating Icewind Dale and will need a new game soon. I hear so much about how BG2 is so awesome and I would honestly prefer play this one and then if I felt like it, play BG1.

Thanks

I think you can not,cus BG2 contains spells and stuff not allowed in BG1

You could however copy a character over using Gatekeeper to mimic the char's stat's etc etc.

I'm not sure Shadowkeeper can be used in BG1.

You cannot import BG2 characters in BG1. This is because the character files for BG1, BG2 and IWD are all different. BG2 has a built in program to convert BG1 characters, but naturally BG1 doesn't hav some such thing for BG2 characters.

Maybe someone took the time to isolate the program, reverse it and post it on a site, but until you find it you'll have to play BG1 without lvl 20 characters.

Importing a BG2 char into BG1 would be pretty pointless, u would walk though the game...

Not to mention that even Tethtoril and even Gorion couldn't even match your powers!! Do you know how 'dangerous' you could become? Candlekeep could be your backyard in no time>http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/hihi.gif

However.........don't mess with old Elminster.
