After Baulders gate II what would be the next in line? I have Ice Wind Dale but not yet played (also heard its not very strong on the storyline- just hack'n'slash). Is there a logical sequence or a question of opinion? I have not seen anything yet that reaches the Baulder Gate Series.
Thanks for your time.

The Throne of Bhaal of course...
unless you are considering TOB and BG2 one game.
If so then I regret to tell you that the TOB is the final installment of the bhaalspawn saga.

As the man said: Throne of Bhaal and then Darkest Day.

Throne of Bhaal is great.

Icewind Dale is a pretty good game in its own right, but it has nothing on the Baldur's Gate series. some of the spell graphics and what not are better in IWD, i think, but storyline wise and role-playing wise the BG series is paramount.

IWD does have a whole sh*tload of hack n slash, and it can honestly get very annoying sometimes. that's the main reason its taking so long for me to play through IWD and HoW, because i keep putting it off when i get stuck at a place with a horde of the same damn undead swarming my guys group after group. gets a little old after a while.

And then after ToB comes NWN.... not a bhaalspawn but Forgotten Realms

After you've played SoA and ToB, I'd suggest Planescape: Torment. While Icewind Dale is fun, it's not a CRPG; it's a sophisticated hack-and-slash. You'll look in vain for the kind of intricately designed party NPCs and non-linear quests that are such fun in BG2, in IWD. They do exist, however, in P:T, along with a surprisingly good overarching plot.

I also recommend Plane Scape Torment. Very good Story and quite strange, but very interesting NPCs.
At the moment I play the old Gold Box AD&D Games from SSI (since I only have an old Laptop to play with...)
