Which quest do you think is harder,
umar hills,
windspear hills,
unseeing eye,
planar spear?

Cayle 06-11-2001 06:56 AM

In this order:
Windspear -Tough dungeon + you know who!
Planar Sphere -Those Damn halflings, Lavok, Tolgerias and Demons
Don't forget the demons.
Umar -Guess Why! Hint: it is big and black.
Unseeing Eye -My first time through, I summoned a few elementals and they
flattened the beholders.

Unseeing eye.

Sigmar has only one foe,
and he is Tiax!

Sigmar,

Try Fire elementals next time. They have an undocumented special ability: beating the crap out of beholders. BTW- What is up with your dislike of Tiax?

I know the easy way but try killing the unseeing eye without the rod (thats even harder then Firekragg!)You have to be kidding me, dislike of Tiax. Tiax is the greatest npc in the entire saga, he is the funniest by far. Heck there was even a small rap song with Tiax in it at the end of bg1. Tiax is great. Sorry if I made it seem otherwise.

I found the unseeing eye quest the hardest. The beholders and gauths were a little tough for a low level party.

Why?

Haddar - Servant of Talos 06-11-2001 11:26 AM

I must say none of them were very hard. Though if I must choose, I'd say Fierkragg. He was the last one I took out, because I wanted to level up a couple of times before taking him on. On most other quest you get alot of help by summoning a couple of skeleton warriors and aerial servants.

Hmmmm... ...
Hard to say. Depends on your average party level at the point of encounter.

Spoiler tip for fighting Beholders

After your first fight with Irenicus, follow Saemon's advice and accompany him on his ship. The ship will capsize and you will land up in Sahaugin City. Anyway, during one of the fights, a Sahaugin Priest will possess a 'Cloak of Mirroring', which deflects ALL ranged magic attacks. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif When fighting Beholders, just get one unit to wear this and moon the Beholders. All their spells will deflect back to them. You won't get hit at all. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Note though, Elder Orbs can still imprison you, so cast Chaotic Command on your unit before facing Elder Orbs. Ranged units are best, since Elder Orbs need to move in close to cast the imprisonment spell.

If not a Sorcerer, then a Paladin.

I think Windspear is the hardest.

That one room in Firkraag's dungeon with around a dozen vampires is a PAIN. Also, the Greater Wolfweres can be a bitch.

I believe the cloak of mirroring reflects DAMAGING magical spells, such as cause serious wounds from beholders, magic missiles, acid etc.
I dont' believe It reflects spells that don't damage you, like imprisonment, petrify, confusion, domination, etc.
