(Whats with these new pictures beside our ranks, the magister one looks pretty bad)

The first time through I used characters I created. Little did I realize how much story and interaction I was missing! Ever since, I've always had at least one NPC in my party at all times, usually mostly NPCs. Although one can create a perfectly balanced, powerful party using his own characters, he will miss out on quite a bit.

It's fun to see you own characters work
though

I always play through a game single player at least once, because I found out that if you don't, you'll miss a lot of fun. Even when you come back later, it just isn't the same when you haven't tried it the SP way.
Afterwards, I usually make my own parties and play the game that way, just to see how it would play if I had this or that kind of character.
The NPC's add a lot of background to the game

after i played through it once using NPCs, i decided to create a game using my PCs. i have removed the exp. cap, so they became extremely powerful. i am now doing it again, only im using my 6 most uberrific PCs in it!

I've done it both ways.

Now, I'm playing the whole game through, with Imoen in my party.

Anything that adds replayability, is good.

how do you create your own party (i.e all pc's)

Its easy. You can either play a single player game, or a multiplayer game. To use your own characters just start a multiplayer game and import your own characters. You are bascially playing a multiplayer game with yourself.
I suggest using 5 of your own characters, and leave 1 slot free so you can add ingame characters you meet to do some of their quests. That way you get the best of both worlds. Or do 4 of your own, and 2 NPC characters.

I did it first with all good NPCs, then with all Evil, then with a team completly made by me.
The way I did it was i made a multiplayer game, saved it, then opened the BG2 SoA folder and copied the save files from Msave (I think thats the name) to save (again, I think thats the name) then I had a team completly made by me that I could load without playing in multiplayer

The only NPC I take is usually Viconia or Keldorn, but they get dumped and replaced about 1/2 ways through the game. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

I use powerful wizards!! All on "wizard aggressive" script.http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
