Sorry about the post, i accidently hit enter. I odn't want to enter the planar sphere just yet (my party doesn't have enough XP) so I wanted to know if I should give Haer'Dalis the gem, get the XP, and don't stay to fight, or would it be better to stay and fight and have to go and rescue Haer'Dalis. Thanks.

It is the Planar Prison, not sphere, that is a different quest. You can stay and fight, and go rescue Haer'Dalis and his troupe later on when you have more exp. There is no time limit as far as I know.

I say stay and fight (and KILL), there are some pretty good items in Astra Prison area, but BRING POTIONS!!!!!!
