Why is it, if your inventory is full, and you or one of your characters are handed an item, such as a key, for example, you drop it on the floor and say you can carry no more. However, when you go searching the floor, the item is nowhere to be found. Then you have to reload and do it over again, with room in your inventory.

I always find them on the floor. Never had a problem.

Don't you just hate posts like these?

Could it be certain items or if you are carrying container items (Bag of holding, gem bag etc)?

Go to your inventory page. The item(s) will appear in the "ground" slots on the right. Well, that works for me anyway...

Unless you're being whisked straight out of the area upon receiving the items. Can't recall a specific BG2 example of this, but I do know its happened to me in the past.

Pain in the backside as you do have to reload: save early, save often!

Fear? I know not the meaning of the word. And you can keep that dictionary away from me!

You know, when you get out of Drow Area UnderDark, and the guys in the elf camp give you ash and stakes...

Well, they kept giving me stakes and ash. They never stopped. Dozens of stakes. Only when I left the map, did they stop. And when I returned, they started back up with the infinite supply of stakes.

I recall holding the item that was given me and having older
stuff dropped on the floor automatically.
