I have just done Xsar's mission to get Montarion out from the Harpers building. Since I now "know" the harpers, does that mean that Jaheira will begin on her side quest? You don't need to do anything to start Jaheira's quest. when you've been playing for a certain amount of days it will automatically start as it's time related. I think you have to be nice to her in all of the conversations that take place as well.

Really, she hasn't said squat to me in days.. I'm starting to get a little worried. Before she spoke at least once a mission, now I've been playing for days and not a peep, and I've done all the quests that tahe you outside of the city, but no nighttime encounter with bandits. I'm starting to get a sinking feeling that she doesn't like me anymore... sniff..

aye, many conversations/quests are time related, both real time and game time. someone had a good idea for getting things moving. leave the game unpaused but on the inventory screen while you go eat or take a shower or sleep or whatever; this counts towards realtime spent and has always worked for me as i return to everyone wanting my ear.

take the quests slowly. don't feel like you're being unproductive if you don't solve at least one mission per day. i've gotten into the habit of resting after every major fight whether i'm injured/spell-depleted or not. seems to keep the subplots moving along well.

Not a Bad idea, thanks Amergin. I'ver gotten into the habit of letting my main charactor do most of the work, and with a ring of Gaxx and the Amulet that regenerates you slowly, I almost never have to rest anymore. I think I'm only on something like day 14.

take it slow with your characters so they will develop for u... u arent in a rush to finish it in a certain amount of time... plus u might wanna start over soon for the expansion pack... heheh
