-   -   Gradient Color Numbers for Infinity Engine Editor (http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54222)

joetbd 06-06-2001 02:54 AM

I am using The Infinity Engine Editor Pro 1.0.8 build 32.

I am not sure what the single number color values are. They are referred to as "Gradient Numbers". I have tried using random numbers, and found:

05- white
21- dark gray (blackish)
22- tan
24- brown
27- light gray
40- light brown
51- yellow
60- purple
70- red
92- tan
110- bright white (maybe lack of color)
29- dark brown
12- pink (orange tan)
13- white/gray

The gradient color codes can't have letters in them.
If anyone can add to this list, please do. Personally, I am looking for Blue.

Thanks,
joe

go to the developers page at www.teambg.com and download the BG struct list.
http://www.teambg.com/d_developers.shtml
it has most of the known hex values for the infinity engine editor.

Yes, I have the "Struct" lists, but they do not include the "Gradient" values. It has "color" values, but those are not the numbers I need. It lists the colors in terms of 12h, 09h, ect...

What I need is: two digit numbers with no letters.

Thanks though,
joe

Joetbd,

I feel your pain...

While I can't contribute to your list, I'd just like to thank you for providing this information, and I hope one of the smarty-pants here can post some more.

SSJ4Sephiroth 06-06-2001 05:55 AM

i think ur better off just using a model that already exists instead of having to set new item colors... that was so frustrating!

joetbd 06-06-2001 06:10 AM

Yes, that is the easier way, Sephiroth. And it is the way I have been doing things for the most part. But I have a pretty good list going, with red, white, black, yellow, brown, purple...

I just need a few more, like green, and blue. Then I will have all the basic colors I need.

Does anyone one know, of any item that is blue in the game? Armor or a robe. Something, that when equipt in the Inventory screen, changes your major or minor color to blue?

Most of us had to do it by trial and error I'm afraid. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

I believe Vaskez has some information on this, I asked him about it some time ago, do a search for all posts by Vaskez and see what you come up with. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Trial and error can be good, but wasting lots of time testing colors is bad.
So I am sharing what I have found, so other people dont have to do this.
I've done some more testing:

01 Really light Brown
02 Brown
03 Baige
04 Orange
05 Silver
05 white
06 Dark Gray
07 Green
08 Light Brown
09 Tan
10 Manilia
11 Pink
110 bright whit
12 Pink/tan
14 light gray
18 Blue
21 black
22 tan
24 Brown
27gray
29 dark brown
30 gray white
31 Shiney Blue
32 Green
34 Light Green
35 Hot Pink
36 Vomet Green
37 Light vomet green
38 Very light tan
39 Dull Brown
40 light brown
40 light brown
41 Bright Brown
42 White (hint of brown)
43 Burlap
44 Violet
45 Purple
46 Dull Red
47 Dark Red
48 Orange Brown
51 Yellow
60 purple
70 Medium Red
84 Light Orange
92 tan
99 Light Orange

This is not a complete list...
And my opinion of the colors is subjective. I just looked at the colors in the inventory screen, not at the actual characters (in play).

Actually, the struct list is right. It is just in hex numbers. To convert simply use the calculator built right in to your computer and convert, enter the hex number, making sure that number system is marked and then fill in the dec number system bubble. And there ya go, decimal numbers from a hexidecimal base system.
