<marquee>congratulations!!!</marquee>
I hope you enjoyed the game http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif. I ahevn't played Icewind Dale yet, but most people on this forum seem to enjoy it. It's supposed to be more linear and less elaborate than the BG series. Also, you create the entire party yourself. Another great game is Planescape Torment. I think you could say that IWD is heavier on the fighting aspect and PS: Torment heavier on the roleplaying. BG would fall somewhere in the middle. Enjoy! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif ------------------ Melusine, Archbabe of the Order of the Holy Flame and the Laughing Hyenas, & Official Entertainer Elf of the BG2 Bar http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/mel1.gif Your voice is ambrosia [This message has been edited by Melusine (edited 06-04-2001).] |
Played Torment last year, found it strange but interesting...still like BG better though...thanks for the congrats!

Icewind is much more linear indeed. I've played it without ever having to wonder where I should go next. As far as I could tell there were no optional quests or map areas, but it was enjoyable. The fighting is quite important, as is the storyline, but Icewind Dale also has some interesting magic items. If you already have the game, it would be a shame not to play ithttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Congratulations I am still in chapter 3, (only had it a week and a half, dam it's addicting)! Play it again with a different alignment, or try Everquest. and if you are really bord try Diablo II.

For instance I only have two quests (as far as I know) left to do before spellhold. And I have a whopolishcius (Ha!) £103,000. I dont know what to spend it all on! Now I keep all my spare equipment in a barrel in Cernd's former home, and take it out when I need it, dont sell items. By the end of the game you might end up buying them back again! Did that have anything to do with this subject? See ya Nanu! (did that make up for it? |
i am only on chapter 2 and i have 500k, this is easy to get if you know how. all you have to do is start working for the shadow thieves(when they ask you to start spying on mae var). once done speak to the barkeeper in mae var's guild hall and make sure you have a person with good pickpocket and around 4 to 5 potions of master theviery (depending on your pick pockets score). you will want the thief to have around 250 in pick pockets. once you have drunk the potions, talk to him and get him to show you what he has to sell. you can keep stealing stuff off him and selling it back because he never notices
i know this is kind of a spoiler but you don't have to ty it if you don't want to. ------------------ What you don't know can hurt you |
You nasty thief! Stealing from other rogue-like characters - that's just plain WRONG!!! lol j/k

No honour among thieves, Volourn. Haven't you seen Lock, Stock and Two Somking Barrels?
