I'm still playing BG2 - still only in Ch2 - for some reason I don't want to get any further with the plot and I've started at lease half-a-dozen games. I did the same with BG - All the times I played it I only ever got back to Candlekeep once.
Anyone else suffer from this affliction?

i used to until i started playing a barbarian class. than i'd found my perfect kit (which was what had been bothering me) so i finished the game.

Antonius take heart i must have started at least 15 different games only to beleave that the grass was greener on the other side. Only played through to fruition once but hell it was still fun all the other times. Remember variety is the spice of life.

Although I have beat the game, I had this prob. BUT, it is rather different. For some reason I keep ending up being a rouge -it is killing my game!

Yes but I took a prescription from the docters. I started on baldur's gate 1 thousands of times and then when I got to the end boss I started again, and guess what? I've done the same on BG2. I need to take more pills

I also share this problem, and it is well documented on this board.
I have not yet finished BG2, I got a little bored of my Ranger, and restarted with a fighter/Mage. I have got to the underdark, and have just about finished that, and I haven't played now in about a month.

I am hoping that my problem is something like my aussie mate Bruce's, in that I simply have to find the perfect class.

Antonius, Your problem seems very serious mate, I would prescribe 10 hours of playing, in which you are not allowed to change character or restart, no matter how much you want to. If you find that this does not work, try another 10 hours, and you should have settled in with a character in now time!
