I am attempting to solo a sorcerer and have allocated my ability scores as I felt appropriate. The intelligence score I have set at 15 while opting for higher ability scores else where. Have I limited myself in terms of not being able to cast higher level spells? It's my understanding that a lower inteligence has no limiting factors in regard to a sorcerer. Is this true?

I would tend to think that, as in the case of a Mage, Intelligence is a huge factor. I believe the ability to cast succesfully is reflected in the Intellegence.

I could be wrong, but I think that you need to have a high INT, skimp on the Charisma, get the ring of human influence.

Methinks you need 18int too get acces to lvl9 spells in throne of Bhaal, you also get extra spells if you have a high intelligence. (kinda like lower AC with high dex)

Mages don't get bonus spells for high inteligence, they just get access to higher level spells and more spells in spellbook, but they can memorize just the same number. I believe same applies for sorcerers, except they don't get more spells for spellbook(i think)

Higher Intelligence also = higher chance to copy spells to spellbook!

Sorcerers don't have to copy to the spell book. They innately know a limited number of spells.

Does anybody have the spell chart of how many spells of each level that a sorcerer has at a given level of experience? Thanks...

Thinking about the sorcerer solo as well!

This would seem to make sense to me as well. But I have read, from those who purport to have played a Sorcerer that INT has no bearing on the character's abilities. However, I am sceptical of this and am looking for someone to confirm or deny this before I get too far into my game. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Lord Shield? Any input from one who has soloed a Sorcerer? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/ponder.gif

Accord? Any Idea? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/ponder.gif

I would also be curious to hear an answer to Artemis' question as well. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Well here is a piece of evidence from the site from my above post. The primary attributes you need are INT and CHR. How that translates is probably in the manual. Hope this helps. here, check this pagesorcerers
