Club Vs Flail

Definitely flail. SPOILER...................the flail of ages is one of the best weapons in the game and you´ll find it almost at the beginning of the game. Give it to Anomen and he really rocks the tomb!

I'm more decided on this one.
There are better magical flails in the game as mentioned above, the Flail of Ages is one of the best weapons in the game because of the extra 3 points of fire/acid/cold damage every hit.
If you have Jaheira though, the Blackblood or Gnasher clubs are deadly, it also means you can give her a shield. She can't use flails.
Otherwise clubs aren't very useful.

When you put the flail of ages together and read its description it goes on about some race intentionally "losing" the flail so that powerful warriors will find it and then battle ensues.

Does anything happen during the game if you have the flail equipped?
