Im in chapter 2, I am in windspear hills, I have told the red dragon i'll be back to kill him, i've gone up the stairs to free Garrons daughter. I have killed the mage and got the key. I then open the door to the daughters cell and talk to her. She says I have to find the mage to get the key. Surly i've done this the door is open but she will not budge. Help, due to this Anomen never got his knighthood and has gone mad. Is there anything else to do like kill the red dragon to free her or is there a crash in my system.

Sounds like a bug to me. Have you installed the patch?

Once you kill the mage and open her cell, she should go through a dialogue with you and then leave. You will probably have to resort to an earlier saved game. Hopefully you saved your game before confronting Firkraag?

BTW, Anomen going wacko doesn't have anything to do with the Windspear quest...

Yeah, try an earlier save . . .or killing the Beast might help...good luck!

I you can resort to an earlier save file be sure to talk with her first before confronting the big ol' Dragon. That might help.

I had this with Jaheira in the cage. I think it depends on letting HER speak to YOU, not the other way round

talk to her again!
You should have:
1/ talk to her
2/ kill mage
3/ talk and free her!

You don't have to tell the same thing that Blacknight wrote, I think we understood the first time.
