i believe there was a place where you could get them en masse (as opposed to just the odd one from a skeleton warrior)...

does anyone know where?

There was a topic on the exact same subject not very long ago, u could probably find it with a little looking... but no, there is no large amount of the arrows in SoA

I never found any in the Beholder Area in the Underdark. I got 1 after killing some cowled clowns.

Well just watch out when you use them.
