I had same problem. Problem is a known one with manufacturers. Phone helpdesk number and they tell you to take the disc back to the shop. So just take it/send it back to the suppliers and tell them its a known manufacturing problem. You'll get a refund or a new copy.
(I was devious. bought a duff copy 70 miles from home. got home and had this problem so I went to a local shop bought a clean copy then (2 hours later) gave the duff one to my local shop and asked for my money back.)
