The first part of the rod is to be found just where the blind former priest told you: go west down the corridor from him, down the stairs, over the bridge, and into the room guarded by the hopeless ghosts. There, you'll be confronted by a creature of hate. If you want to know how to beat it, just ask.

Once you've beaten it, you'll speak with the forgotten god, who will give you half of the rod. When you have it, go back to the priest and inform him; as he said before, he'll now give you the other half of the rod.

No, the ex-priest won't give you the other half, he'll give you a password. You'll have to go back to where the High Priest is (don't remember his name). Near there, inside the Cult's quarters, you'll find another priest who's guarding the entrance to the Undead Village and the Beholder Lair. Tell him the password and he'll let you through. The second half of the rod is somewhere in the Beholder Lair.

How do u kill the creature of hate?
