Out of nowhere pops a Cute little bunny rabbit. And I don't mean the Gaurdian Rabbit from Monty Python, but a cute fuzzy bunny.

I was hoping for the Fairy Dragon, though the name needs help, but it is a dragon,

So what other familiars have popped up? I am curious to know what other of my wizard bretheren have gotten.

Thanks,

Gray Mage

The familiar is dependent on the alignment of your protagonist magic user:
LG, NG = pseudo-dragon
CG = fairy dragon
LN = ferret
TN = rabbit
CN = cat
LE = imp
NE = dust mephit
CE = quasit

The type of familiar is based upon your alignment. Going from memory, these are the other types of familiars available:

Pseudo-dragon
Fairy Dragon
Rabbit
Ferret/Weasel
Imp
Quasit

I know there's more...I just can't remember all of them. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

IIRC, I thought that the rabbit would be a cool familiar b/c of their abilities.
I think that they have a pretty good stealth and detect traps ability. I believe that they also have some MR, pickpocket ability?, and...believe it or not...an attack that doesn't suck. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Which familiar is the best?

I personally say Imp, but that is only because it has the spell, Polymorph Self! Oh, by the way, Fairy Dragon is good because it can cast Invisibility 10' Radius.

Hey, while you are on this topic, I have a slight problem with my Familiar. I have the imp, and I did the whole polymorph thing. How do you get it to polymorph back. I though the spell would just wear off, but it didn't, and I don't know how to get it to change. The funny thing is it still fits in my backpack . . .

I expect it is the same as for a druid changed to a wolf or whatever, where you click on the 'human' logo when you want to come out of it. Mr Imp must have an 'imp' logo. I've only had dragons and a cat... I though what you got was due to your class, not your alignment. Well, now I know better! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
PS It isn't just regular & multi/dual mages that can get familiars - Bards can as well http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif I had one with a cat.
