I am a 12th level fighter that has special abilities - holy might, minor heal, and slow poison

but when the dream sequence ends and I arrive in the
assylum, the special abilities for my character are
not available. Is this suposed to happen ?

Do the abilities came back ?
all the other party memberd have their special abilities
intact ?

I gave up a wisdom point - and went down to ten
but according to the book that should not have
affected me.

Help ???

this happened to me too...Right you should be able to shapeshift to slayer instead of you other abilities.....Not a very good conselation i Never did it once, im not sure if this only happens if you are a fighter though...
Anyway I couldnt get em back, I dunno y they did this cause the slayer is compleely pointless...Any way i hope that helped some one else may have a better answer.....

1) Yes, that's suppose to happen.

2) No they do not, but you will gain something later (no more spoils, for now). The other party members are not affected since it is your "dream", only you are "affected".

3) What do you mean the "book"? Anyways, since you appear to be a single class fighter, WIS is not too important to you.

When you generate your character, you get special abilities for:
class (such as a paladin's Detect Evil)
being son of bhaal - the exact abilities depend on your alignment
.
The bhaalian abilities get REPLACED with the new slayer ability
.
it's not a bug though. it's a plot device - be warned though. Becoming slayer loses 2 rep each time and you can die from hp loss if slayer for too long
