no, she isn't, I remember someone asked her once before (on the old boards I think) and she said that she got her nick from an ancient god (Celtic god I think) http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif . ShadowUK and Demus are spot on! Epona was a Celtic horse goddess. I'm really into archaeology and interested in Celtic religion hence the name.

It gives me a real kick to see my nickname as a thread title! Thanks.
I realised I would be asked this question every so often after just a few days on the board when several people asked me if there was a Zelda connection - I haven't even played it! I don't mind being asked in the slightest though, it is better to be asked than ignored!

LOL I'm glad no one was offended by me asking. I just love Zelda! Maybe they got the name for Epona in Zelda from the goddess, because Epona is a horse!
