hi can someone explain in simple terms combat for me.
you have thac0 armour class and subtract the 2'but what do the numbers at the start of a weapon description represent etc?? +/- increases the chance of hitting or missing by that number and is added/subtracted from the result of the thac0/ac subtraction??? thanx |
A +2 sword will DECREASE your THACO by 2 points. This is good, it is also confusing.
In PNP DND you take your THACO, subtract the target's armor class, and try to roll a 20 sided die higher than the result. If your roll is higher you hit, else you miss. Sherpa Doug |
Let's see if this is right: (I'm really HORRIBLE at math)
You hit the target IF Your dice roll > Your THAC0 - Enemy Armour class You miss the target IF Your dice roll < Your THAC0 - Enemy Armour Class Now since a plus 2 weapon makes it easier to hit than a plain old weapon - You hit IF Your dice roll plus 2 > Your THAC0 - Enemy Armour Class Would that be right? |
what makes people buy a game abotu a system theyve never played? I would never go by a..say Alternity game
