Gwydion is a character in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles... an amazing series of children's (though it's great for us too http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif) fantasy books.

I believe it is a name from Welsh Legend that the author borrowed.

If you haven't done so already, check out the General Discussions board - lots of off-topic stuff going on over there.
