the +5 drow plate is still on her shoulders (it is suposed
to turn to dust if you bring it to the surface).

thats because theres a triger in the underdark exit area so that when you enter that area the drow stuff dusts itself underdark

You can give Jaheira a bunch of Drow stuff for your whole party and it won't disintegrate unless you re-enter the exit from the Underdark area. Technically, it's not a cheat, more like a bug. Ethically, it probably is a cheat, so I say, why kick her out and ruin a good romance when you can
