I killed Yoshimo in the asilum after he betraid me.
I brought his heart to the ilmatter priest. Is there
a way to bring him back to life ? He was the only
decent thief around. Or, is there a good NPC thief
and where (i didn't found any).

Once he's dead he stays dead I'm afraid. Imoen will do a good enough job as a thief. There aren't any other pure thieves in the game.

Sad, she is not good enougth at "remove traps"
for my taste.

Jan Jansen is better than Imoen in matter of thievering

IIRC, her find/remove traps is like 85%? If that's too low for you, try making up the difference with Potions of Perception. I think that there is also some sort of ring in the Planar Sphere that increases this percentage???

For thieving abilities, Jan is by FAR the best. He has 85-100 in every thieving ability but lay traps and hide in shadows(very bad for those two). In any case, he is the best in the game for traps, picking pockets, detecting illusions(bye bye to true sight wasting a spell slot), and locks. I also thought his interactions with the NPCs were pretty amusing. You can find him standing in the lower right hand corner of the main square of the government district.

Where could I find Jan Jansen ?

And, Yes, 85% isn't enougth for my taste (sometimes
she finds a trap but can't disarm it).

Jan is in the center of the gov district.

The only way to keep him alive (I don't see why), is to drop him off inside a building (say an inn) near the exit. After you exit Spellhold, go to the building where you dropped him off, walk in, as soon as you are in, pause the game and have your PC talk to Yoshimo, then unpause the game. Ask him to join your party again and as soon as the dialogue finishes, he will die. Now all you have to do is cast resurrection spell on him (spell, scroll, or temple), and he is as good as new.

P.S. Remember, you don't need the "best" thief, a decent thief is all you need in the game.
