I've noticed that after many reloads in a gaming session the performance on the game becomes horrible. The sounds stagger, the animation gets choppy, there is a lag between clicking icons and actions being performed. So I got some system utilities. After playing for several hours, things were running horribly. I quit out and used a utility to check my ram. 80 out of 95 megabytes occupied. Folks, I use win98 with no unneccesary addons, and at startup only about 24 megabytes are used. I could have freed up the ridiculous amount of ram the game trapped, but that would have taken longer than just shutting down and restarting. It seems that when the game clears and then reloads data, it forgets to freeup or write over the ram that it just "cleared" and claims a whole new batch until the game becomes practically unplayable. Anyone else have similar experiences with the gane?
