When i upgraded the mace of disruption +1 with (spoiler) illithium ore (to make it (spoiler) +2 kill undead instantly unless save v death at -4) i found it a very useful tool against liches. The lich behind the secret door in the (spoiler) crooked crane who posesses the (spoiler) Daystar lomgsword was killed in one blow with it after breaching his contingency. Either his saving throws are awful or i was just lucky. Anyway i was wondering if this would work when fighting (spoiler, sorry for all these) kangaxx.
Also , do any special undead spells such as repulse undead, fake dawn, sunray etc have any effect on liches/demiliches. Pray tell, I am young and inexperienced at this game!!!

<font color="gold">Yes, the Mace of Disruption +2 should work pretty well on Kangaxx. It will atleast deal bigger damage then any other weapon (except maybe the Daystar).</font>

U know i have never actually tried, but seeing as Kangax uses imprisonment every other second I don't think that you would have enough time to hit him before u r in serious trouble. I also think, though I haven't fought him in a while, that he uses improved mantle which wouldn't allow you to even do any damage. But it is worth a try, but I wouldn't put money on it.

I used Sunray on Kangaxx, and the numbers came up on the screen saying I did over 1000 damage, but he just stood there laughing and imprisoning away.

Not sure on the other ones, but I suspect they won't work either.

Kangaxx is different--you probably did the 1000 damage to his Lich form, which can't actually die: Once you 'kill' him as a Lich (which you did), he just re-forms as a Demi-Lich with full hitpoints again. Arrrrrrgh....
But instant-kill-undead weapons, like the Disruptor+2 and Azuredge, are invaluable against Liches & the like.....provided you can get through their Improved Mantle and Stoneskin fast enough. My Berserker->Cleric had the Mace of Disruption & we were all pounding him as hard as we could, under Bless, Chant, Haste, etc. Berserker-boy was the ONLY one who got a hit in, and he did a whopping *2* damage.
Kangaxx the Demi-Lich- Death

Does Kangaxx cast nething but trap soul and Demilich wail??? Ive fought him multiple timez but thats all he casts [img]tongue.gif[/img]

If you want dead liches without cheating just use 1 protection from magic/undead scroll(I prefer undead as these are much more plentiful and the lich won't even budge while you pummel him/her - bad AI I know but it's not my fault!), add 1 character(make sure everyone else is out of sight), add a weapon that allows you to actually hit the lich in question, mix ingredients together and you have lich jelly in no time :D

No, I killed the lich easily enough, I waited till just when the Demi spawns, and hit him with the sunray. I would have been happy with any damage, but he was unhurt.

I did the prot from magic scroll/prot undead trick, can't remember the order but he ends up being too easy. It kinda sucks when a guy who is whupping your ass so many times in a row turns into a joke with a couple scrolls bought at your local Kmart/Temple.
