Hi folks,

I just picked Korgan up at the CC's and cleared the dungeons below, as well as the "freeing the slaves" quest.

Next I bought an Axe (fire.. something at Bernhard), gave it to Korgan as his main weapon and left the CC.

Outside I checked Korgans THAC0, and suddenly has a basic THAC0 of 23 and 16 with this Axe. He has/had no spells or whatsoever on him, I went to a temple for a "full healing" (that 750 gold type) to check.

In his inventory he has nothing than some arrows, he has a regular plate on, nothing weird. All other characters have "normal" (and better stats).

How can it be that he has a basic THAC0 23?

In a previous game, which I loaded, he has a basic TH of 16....

Any thoughts?

Cause I think 23 is the THAC0 he starts with.</font>

Well, I'm not sooo familiar with AD&D, but my main character, a lvl 8 paladin has a basic thac0 of 16 (IIRC); Korgan, beeing a lvl 8 Ftr, should also have a basic thac0 around that?!? Instead he has 23, that seems like starting lvl 1 thac0...

So, what would you recommend, start over, hack the savefile via editor??

I ran a little double-check, and what I found out, was that Korgan, in lvl 8, has a starting-thac0 on 13?!
This is certainly weird...

Maybe you have cross-eyed, you saw a 23 instead of 13?</font>

No, I loaded the game (and restarted several times) .... 23 basic thac0, 16 modified.

One weird thing happened down at the gladiator pits: I experimented with Yashi and the ring of invisibity. I activated the ring and started fighting the panthers, bears, etc. and whooops, BG2 dropped and showed me a windows error (Win-popup, no blue-screen).

Before that I'm almost sure (not 100% of course), that his thac0 was below 20 (well, lvl 8 fighter should be below that!).
