ive heard of these books that increase your strength, intelligence etc.. by 1 for each book, but where are they found in Amn?

I dont know about in Amn but I found one in ToB that increased my Charisma... If that helpz u at all :(

Actually, there aren't any stat increasing tomes in SOA like there were in BG1. They weren't used again because the supposedly unbalanced the game.
You can however gain permanent stat enhancements at the end of SOA.
Don't know about TOB, though.

They do unbalence the game- Do you remember a while back when some dude wanted his paladin evaluated and all the paladins stats were 25?

Now tell me that that doesnt unbalence the game?

IMHO, they will make the game unbalanced...

Those various tomes unbalance a game only when someone is creating/using them over and over and over and over and over and....

When used as they are found--a unique item having one use only--they do not unbalance a game. Remember, pupils, to learn the lesson of moderation.....
