I am on the second level of the De'arnise hold and have got the dog meat stew by killing the four dogs but have to kill the Yuan'ti mage and the two big trolls next to him so i can go down the stairs to level 3 to face the boss. Whenever i fight the yuanti mage he cast a spell that makes my character confused and its impossible to move or do anything. How do you kill him? And how do you find glacian?

what i try to do is walk slowly into the room and lead out some of the weaker trolls and stuff and kill them individually, that way its easier to just kill the big guy... but if he still confuses you, then you might try buying a potion or scroll that gives you some resistance to either magic or gives you a mind shield... you probably can find one either from the sorceress in the adventuror mart in waukeens prom. or from the women next to the unused house in the bridge district.

And Glacian can be found by a room just north and to the left of the hallway from where u enter the 2nd floor, there is a hidden doorway there, and if u stand there long enuff it will appear...

Well all u gotta do is get Your cleric (assuming they know disspel magic) to wait back so that they dont get confused as well, then get her to cast disspel on an area where it will get most of the characters... and if ur char is on a high enough lvl :D :D :D :D :D ur free. If not It willl eventually wear off.

what is the Glacian

Right, some really kick arse tactics are:

1. As ChoCoMoBo said lure the trolls out individually. then kill them.
2. Once they are dead line up your fighters by the south western door and your mage with a dispell magic at the ready.
3. run into the room, engage in conversation with the Yuan-Ti mage, then run our.
4. The mage will cast stoneskin, protectio from blah blah blah... and then follow you until he can see you.
5. When he is in sight, or just out of your vision, cast dispell magic on him. This will remove all the spells he cast on himself so that you can kill him really quick.
6. then run in and kick some arse.

Glacias is the Bodyguard of Lord Arnise. And the secrate door to him is in Lord Arnise's room on the southern wall. Then follow the passage to another secrate door and through the door in that room is Glacias. He is tough to kill (full plate armour and bout 120 hp) and fast (he is hasted or something). Put all your guys onto him. Then do not go down the stair case in the Yuan-Ti room cuz that leads to the roof of the castle. There are a few secrate rooms leading off from Nalia's Aunt's room, along with a few golems who become hostile if you steal the stuff in the chests at the end of the room. If you are gonna steal this stuff, then kill the golems individually, except the iron one, unless you think you can take him on. The go down the stairs in the adjacent room. Lots of baddies down there and that is where you put the dog stew to use.
