I'm a paladin, will killing firkraag prematurely ruin my stronghold quest?
I've gone into the hills and cleaned out his dungeon and rescued gaelan's son/daughter, and I have an overwhelming urge to kill the big worm, but since my stronghold starts in a minute will wiping that smile off his face cause problems for me later on?

Yes. If you kill Firkraag before you are specifically told to, you will screw up your Paladin Stronghold.

When I played a paladin I killed him first. I don't know that it messed anything up.

However, there's really no need to kill him right now. Especially if you know you can and will come back later.

"Patience is a virtue" Be a paladin. Be virtuous.

It messes it up in the sense that you don't get to *truly* get to complete the quest and are awarded less XPs as a result.
