After compleeting a quest in the Harper compound (for Xzar), Jaheira is called to the Harpers to aid them in some way. She says that she will come back as soon as she can.

(its been a long time since I played last so things might be inaccurate)

Good thing, I though, and used the available spot in my party to finish the NPC related quests in the game.

But our little fighter/druid never showed up, and I wouldn't continue on the main quest without her...

So normally shows up the first time you rest after that point on one of the major map screens ie not the planer prison or like places. I don't know if you have to be inside the city or in the country side.
But if you can find her have to returned to the hold to look for her, she's normal stay outside it if you tell her to leave (I know you didn't but it worth a try)
