I'm not sure if it works in baldur's gate 2 but when you cast Shapeshift-self
and then export your character while you still have the ability to shapeshift,
and then import that character into a new game you will still have the ability to shapeshift without the effect of the spell ever leaving.
It comes in handy when your facing magic users alot because you can just change into a green slime which has 125 magic risistance at will.

heh. I didn't even know the slime form HAD 125% MR. lay down wup-ass on wizzies. do any other enchantments stay with u?
