Well I finally am planning to get this game [img]smile.gif[/img] hehe. Yeah go ahead go ahead I'm a true Icewind Dale freak so what hehe.

In any case I have a question about BG2 Shadows of Amn Collectors Edition. Now I know it includes some neat stuff, but it has a new character. And some new items in the game. Thus I'm wondering if I get it will it still work fine on Multiplayer at Gamespy with the latest patch? Or it will be considered a different version whenever I try to connect to a game? Because if so then I'll just get the normal Shadows of Amn [img]smile.gif[/img] .

i dunno, but have you played BG1 yet? if not, i strongly reccomend you should before you start BG2...

the new items from the collectors edition are in the latest patch anyway. the items from the electronics boutique special cd are not, but are available in a semi-official (its authorised by bioware, but done by badurdash) patch.

you may have asmall problem getting the collectors edition though - it was only ever made in limited number and i strongly suspect theyve all been sold. still, if you know a shop that still has a copy to sell, go for it. you get a cloth map and some other junk, er i mean quality BG2-themed products, with it as well IIRC.

Well its only 5$ more than the original version anyway [img]smile.gif[/img] .

And actually yes, they still sell it on EBgames [img]smile.gif[/img] .
