OK what do the strongholds really DO!! I'm currently playing a mage ( necromancer) and I got the Sphere, but can't find a quest or sub-quest to do with it!!

Yup, Send the kights home or get them to work in the Raidiant heart and you will get Teos, they you will get afew apprenti get a few laughs(and a few choice items)... graduate hunt down a wizard killer. After that You a a Big storage locker + base of operations. Why pay an in when you can sleep in your home for free.
