i found it, it just didnt have the .exe

MILAMBER 03-30-2001 06:07 PM

Sent it through ICQ?!?

How did you do that. There are 4 disks and you need disk 2 in the machine to play it. I know there is a crack at www.gamecopyworld.com but there are a million reasons the way you are doing this would not work. I am not saying it is impossible, but that could be why it isn't working. If you don't want to pay for it, use your friends cd's to install it, do a full install, then make a copy of your friends second disk to run the game. One of the disks is burn protected, I don't remember which one it was though.

yep im sorry bg2 didnt come from icq, that was giants. just forgot

Fljotsdale 03-30-2001 08:35 PM

Um. I don't want to be nasty (or do I?) but I think if you have pirated the game and cheated the creators out their hard-earned profits, you deserve any problems you get! If anyone stole somthing I had written, I would be mad as fire! Have you heard of copyright?
Sorry. I get really steamed up about this sort of thing 'cos I'm a writer myself, in a small way. I think people have a right to be paid for their work. And, yeah, I know I'm bitching! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

i didnt think i had a choice at the moment, he said i needed to play it. was it wrong to accept it? Heres what my friend said, "uhm... there is more to it then cheating them out of money, I thought they where cheating us out of our cash, and how's to say how choose to use my programs? Ask them how hard it was to be brainwashed by the media into beleaving that sharing games it bad, I bet he's the same type of nazi that is trying to burn napster (which is doing no different, yet it seems to be socially accepted). I've seen people call games like bg2 art, and well if art is ment to be free, well... " that was taken straight from icq.
