I would want to know everybodies thoughts about the monk
By the way, do they have a stronghold. I've heard it is the same as for fighters

I like my monk. They need to be coddled and protected early on, but mine is now level 15 and with some nifty +4 gloves she found along the way, she is a freakin' tornado. 5 of my characters are created, and the Monk and and Undead Hunter together can kill darn near anyone at will. The rest of us mostly watch.

Gauntlets of Crushing, you have to side with the Crazy King of the Shark People with an unpronounable name. Which means you had to get to the Underdark by boat, not portal.
