How do the usernames change and how often.
I started out as Welcomed new user and now I am some Elite guard.
How come?
Is there any use for it or is it just someting that is fun for the people in the forum?

It's just something that's fun. I can't remember exactly how the numbering goes, but it seems like it's almost doubled each time that you go up. Last I remember was Drow Warrior around 250. Just recently made Avatar at 500. Numbers don't really mean much. Just something that Ziroc put in so we could find out what the different "levels" were.
