uhhhhh... This guy is pretty tough. Any spoilers on how to handle this bunch?

I'm just out of the Underdark so my party is fairly mature.

It's better to get their help rather than attack them. You don't get to keep their magic items for long and I don't think it would be looked upon too kindly either. Drizzt is a celebrity. You aren't meant to kill everyone you know, and you may be wishing you hadn't killed him later on.

was i just seeing things or when i had drizzt back up my group did i see in the combat roles everyone drizzt hit have to save vs death ?

You can take him out in several ways:
1) The first time you meet him, you can turn hostile and not ask for his assistance. Make sure you take out Drizzt and the drawf first, the rest of the fight should be relatively easy. Try to summon critters to keep the other members of his party busy, and use your tanks to take him and the drawf out. Good luck.
2) You can also be nice to him http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...l_laughter.gif and ask him to assist you in cleaning up the vampires in the Graveyard District. When you meet up with his party in the tombs, they should have been weaken by the vampires, now it is the time to attack.
3) If it is Drizzt that you want, and not his party, you can wait till he follow you to the lower tomb and then take him out.

Generally speaking, lower resistance works well on the drow. But beware, if you kill him, you will potentially suffer an annoying bug as his friend Harpell will appear and attempts to take all Drizzt's items.

Harpell also appears is you cheat and give yourself drizzts items. I once gave Jaheira twinkle early in the game and when I met Drizzt he said I'd once attacked him near baldurs gate and stole his stuff. I managed to talk him round but then Harpell appeared when we left the caverns. And appeared evry where else I went.

That is indeed annoying....and you cannot kill Harpell either I believe.

No you can't. Even control y doesn't work.

HHAHAHAHAHAHA but you can ctrl q him and then ctrl k him and for killing drizzt i killed him alone (thought)killed his parner first and the drizzt but i did it once not anymore
