I am looking for the last piece of the crom fayr (that is the hammer itself) I know its in the sweres somewhere and I presume its behind the secret door to the north of the sewers unfortunatly I can't open that door, what have I missed/dropped or am I completly wrong anyway.

You were right about where to find the hammer, it's behind that secret door.
You need the Sewer Key to open it, which you can find in the Windspear Hills, in Firkraag's dungeon, on the guy called Tazok.
