I wanted to get both the authentic illithium and the phony alloy--so I pressured the Ore Merchant into divulging her source, and then asked her for the cheap stuff. She said she'd be back with the alloy the next day, and while I was waiting, I went & did the quests to get the real thing. The next day came, no Ore Merchant. I decided to give her an extra day, and did a few more little quests here & there. So now it's Day 3, and still no Ore Merchant. Is there a flag in the game that keeps you from obtaining both types of illithium, or did the chick skip town on me?


Oh, and P.S: Does Illithium have anything to do with Illithids (Mindflayers)?

i had that happen once. theres nothing designed to keep you from getting both the real and fake ore. you can do a few things to remedy this.

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("jerlialeave","global",1) this should expire the timer for her reappearance

or just

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("scjerlia")
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("jerliaspawn","global",1) to bring her in and set the flag as it should be.

She only appears during the day-time.

I DID try during the day....I ain't dumb, I know the place closes at night. (Odd that Ribald Barterman is in the Adventurer's Mart 24-7, though....what, doesn't he have someone else do the graveyard shift for him?) But on 3 consecutive days, no Jerlia, so I just Shadowkeepered in some fake Illithium. Oh well.

you have to get the fake stuff before you get the real. get the source for the real stuff, then pay for the fake. stand there and wait for her to come back with the fake, AND THEN go get the real

I guess when she says giving you her source could ruin her career she really means it.

Along the lines of this question did anyone else kill the crazy dwarf and what do you do with his head ? it looks like a quest item but for where ?

Neb's a criminal on the run for the law, so if there's a price on his head (ha ha), id just take the evidence to your friendly neighborhood Police Headquarters. Try the Government District--the jail is there, they may have other buildings.

Enter the Government building. Give the head to Inspector Bregg, and you'll get some gold, and a slight increase to your party rep.
