Mate,

How do I kill the emphatic emanation (the indestructable fly-type creature in the ancient temple) and get the half of the rod that I need to complete the quest for the cult of the unseeing eye? I am currently outside of the temple in which the emanation is. The one with all the dieseased, indestructable people outside.

Seems like I needed several...

if ANYBODY attacks it then it takes more heals. if you turn off AI then have one person walk up and heal it will die at the end of the spell effect

What about the other half of that rod? I am currently in some fleshy type tunnel in the pit of the unseeing eye, and I have just had seven shades of s*** kicked out of me by a bunch of blind priests. Rank.

Southwest 'room'. Make sure the character has the other half with him. If you leave it on a character back near the entrance, the new half flies over to meet the old half, and the character who found the rod will get toasted.
