When I install Baldurs gate 2 and try to play it. The game crashes in a message saying [abnormal program termination(runtime error)in microsoft visual c++ runtime libary] and throws me back to desktop. I tried downloading the patch from interplay. And it still happens. I have win-98 and ati-98 video card.
If you can help me email me at boxingballs@hotmail.com Thanx alot, |
I have no idea
But you could try ringing up Black Isle techinal support. |
Do you have it installed on the same drive as the operating system? In Windows 2000, I couldn't even get it to install until I put it on the same drive. You might also kick it down to 16 million colors (this doesn't seem to degrade the 'look' of it) and uncheck 3D acceleration (keep 3D animations checked) in the BG II configurator. You could also try turning down the frame-rate in the Gameplay tab. Hope this helps. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Yeah, I've got something wrong with my game.......
For some reason it runs faster on another computer that has the exact same specifications as mine!!! Help! |
Iron, the message you get is an internal error message, and you should not get it, so it is definitely a bug, and you have to contact the technical support.
DJG, the other computer may have the exact same hardware specifications as yours, but does it have the same software specifications ?
