Are the storekeeper's wares the same throughout the game? I'd like to cast the Find Familiar spell, but can't find the scroll anywhere!

No, the wares are NOT the same in the game, keep searching. Their are two shopkeepers who have plenty of scrolls once you are out of the beginning dungeon in chapter 1.

P.S. I am sure that there are plenty around throughout the game whether it is from treasures or monsters or stores.

One of the shadow thiefes who gets killed by a vampire has one.
Also, at the city gates their is a merchant being threatend by some crook.
If you chase him away the merchant will sell you the scroll and after that he disappears.
