Hello, I am a Dual Class Fighget/mage. This is my first time playing baldurs gate 2. I cant seem to cast any spells or attack. When i attack on the little console it says EDGEMASTER attacked soandso but nothing happens, my sword doesnt even hit him. when I try to cast spells i always get "My casting has been interupted" Whats up with this and how do i fix it? thanks a lot.

Hello, for your spells, you must not wear any armor to be able to cast them, that's a restriction of the dual classed mage, for the sword, are you sure you never hit anybody ? that's strange...

Maybe the WIS of your character is too low, check the attribute tables in the game manual. To have decent spell casting, your WIS should be at least 10.

If you are playing a fighter/mage you'll need a good robe and Bracers AC3,alternatively use Elven chainmail(lets you cast spells and use thieving skills-there is some in trademeet).

You do attack.. but maybe your THAC0 is not good anough or you have a weapon you are not proficiended with. For your spells, if you are in a melee with many monsters and decided to cast a spell, make sure no monsters hits you or you lose concentration and your spell will be interrupted. Make sure you have stone skin blurr or mirror image cast on before an attack. That will help casting without beeing interrupted.

Talking about THAC0 not being very good.... I went into a dungeon as Cleric, dualled from Figher, level 7. All my team got killed and 'I' was left fighting the last living enemy, who was a blind cleric, also with poor thaco by the way he was fighting. Alternatively you may have been hitting a mage with Stoneskin up! You won't see any damage appear then, either
