I know that as a fighter you can gain Nalia's keep and as a thief you can get to control a guild hall but I was wondering what the other classes can join or gain controll of?

Welcome to IW.
I havent heard of anymore guilds. But you can challenge the leader of the Druid Grove in a later stage if that is a guild i don´t know. |
Welcome to the board!
This is a list over all the strongholds you can get: Fighter: De'Arnise Keep Monk: De'Arnise Keep Barbarian: De'Arnise Keep Mage: Planar Sphere Thief: Mae'Vars Guild Bard: The Five Flagons Inn Priest: Different temples Druid: Druid Grove Paladin: A room in the Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart Hmm, anyone I forgot? EDIT: Ahh yes, forgot the ranger. They will get the ranger cabin at Umar Hills. -Whalken [ 01-16-2002: Message edited by: Whalken ]
|
you are thinking of the various strongholds ...
all of the other classes have various strongholds and items that they obtain by completing the associated quests spoilers below . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Paladins get a room at the Order of the Radiant Heart to stash their stuff and rest for free, plus a nice item or two I believe that clerics get a room at the appropriate temple and also a couple of items, but I haven't done all of the quests for the various alignments so there may be some differences Rangers have a unique stronghold but don't know the details I can't recall exactly what the Mage stronghold is (and I SHOULD know this) .. but its one of the most interesting of the group, imo |
Rangers get a cabin in the Umar Hills.

Bards get a room at the 5 Flagons? I didn't know that and since I never, ever plan on being a bard, what are some of the features of that stronghold?
|
It's not just a room, you actually get to produce a play, which is very exciting....some of the actors are prima donnas, and you have to decide how much to spend on advertising your play. Yes, that good. You are right never to be a bard, what next? Dangerously deciding to choose chardonnay over a fruity sauvignon?

I've heard that the Planar Sphere can also be obtained by Sorcerors, not just Mages. Also, you can easily earn TWO strongholds if you feel like it: Say you're playing an Elven Fighter/Mage--you will be offered the D'Arnise Keep AND the Planar Sphere, and I think you can win the Sphere even if you've already earned the Keep. Dual-class characters can get two a well: My Assassin turned down Mae'var's guildhouse--he'd rather win the D'Arnise Keep after he Duals to Fighter.
I think the Stronghold quests have consolation prizes as well: Renal Bloodscalp offers you the vacant Guildhouse, and if you refuse it, he gives you some money (10,500 GP, I think) and the Short Sword of Backstabbing. Is there a list of the consolation prizes for the other Strongholds? [ 01-16-2002: Message edited by: SixOfSpades ]
|
