If I change my PC (fighter/thief) who is currently midway in a romance with Vicona, to a new PC (ie mage) will the romance continue as if nothing happened ?

If you use shadowkepper to change your P.C. you should be right. Using the in game method (in MP mode) no idea

The only romance available is with Anomen, so if you don't have him, no romance.

To clarify ... I would port the game tp MPlayer, change the leader, and then go back tp Single.

The romance script is stored in the Global Variables section if you are using Shadowkeeper to look at the party.

What you can do is look at your saved game using Shadowkeeper and look in the Global variables for something like "Viconiaromance" and record the number after this entry. Then after you have changed the PC, go back into the new saved game and check the variable. If it is the same, you are fine. Otherwise, change the variable to the old number and you should pick up right where you left off.
