What is the red crystal for?

How do I know if I placed the 11 items in the right spots?

In the dungeon I assume under stronghold where Bohdi told me to find a way out.

You have the red crystal and you will also need the hand from a lich that you kill while in the same general area. You will need those items to open the door behind the Giant head. That will give you an exit.

Oh, and if you place the 11 items in the right places you will get another item.. that is how you know you did it right.
