I've decided to start BG2 again after playing through 3 times (yes it's THAT good :D )

Anyway i wanna have some flavour this time i make a char (i chose for the conventional before) so i need some tips. Kensai looks pretty cool, but i dunno about the no armour wearing stuff. Anything to add?

I need your advice

On my fifth SoA run through, my second through ToB. You can be second in the Obsession Line. ;)

If you want flavor, why not take on a few challenges? If you want ultimate power, you're not going to have flavor. I suggest an archer, or better still (if you have ToB) a wild mage. Or you could go for one of the priest kits, like Lathander, or Helm. Loads of fun, there. :D

Hmm, its always hard to choose a new char...
The kensai is cool, but as you said, the fact that they cant wear armour ruins them. So dont them. If ya wanna be a warrior of some sort, I would suggest the monk. They dont need armour (they cant wear either...), they are maybe better without weapons, have lots of great abilities and looks very cool!
If ya want a spellcaster, try maybe a totemic druid or a sorcerer.
The totemic druid is very cool, have great abilities, and have access to all the preist spells (atleast as far as I know). The sorcerer is cool to have if you wanna cast mage-spells, they learn spells as they "grow", so they dont need scrolls to learn.
But there really arent any class that is better, or cooler then another, cause they all have so many and different abilities.

see ya!

I have never played Sorcerer. I like the Mage, always been a mage. :D So after i go through my solo game with Fighter/Mage/Thief im gonna be a Monk or a Ranger. ;)

And fable, I think we can say YOU are number two on the obsession line. I am on my 12th time through SoA, and have completed it 9 times.
Hey, I'm not kidding! Serious.

see ya!

eb 01-15-2002 12:12 PM

hmm..
Sir Exxon do you have a work/school or something.
It takes ages to go through it 9 times. :/

BALROGBANE 01-15-2002 12:13 PM

Stalkers are the best Kit in the game. No arguments please!!

Micah Foehammer 01-15-2002 12:23 PM

Ok Balrogbane .. no arguments ...lol

I would recommend a monk. But all of the other suggestions would be fun as well.

Fallen 01-15-2002 12:29 PM

Right I've always wanted to try a monk, so i think I'll stick with that choice :D

Thanks for ya advice (especially you Sir Exxon you obsessive freak! ;) j/k

PS I have ToB, will this change any of ur minds about choosing a char? Just don't say wild mage, been there done that
