have you ever met times that one of your most favored character with all the best staff decided to leave your party? were you mad and angry? heh, now it is time to fix it!

when he told you he wants to leave, let him, and once he started walking, pause the game, and start a dialog with him. OF COURSE the game wont let you, but the character will stop where he is. and now, use little finger twist: clt + Q, and he will be in your party again!

But does this get rid of the reason why they wanted to leave or will you have
to keep doing this every ten seconds?

yes it definetly works on all cases. Keldron decided to leave my party after i sided with Bodhi, and I used this way to get him back, and he was fine after wards.

if people leave due to reputation, i guess this wont solve the problem, but you just have to do it again when he wants to leave

If you're going to cheat that way, make it easier on yourself and just edit either your reputation or the global variables using SK.

Another thing you could do is resurrect a character that gets chunked (and their portrait disappears) by creating them and getting them to rejoin your party. This also works for NPCs who for one reason or another are left behind in the underdark.
