I cannot manage to get the full install of BG 2 to function correctly (I use a french version) and have tried to modify the file (can't remember which one) to define the pathes on my hard disk but the game continues on reading the CD rom...

madclicker, is running free...

No matter how you install the game, it will require at least one CD (in the English version it is usually CD number 2).

However, with a full install, you shouldn't have to switch CD's at all while playing. If you don't do a full install, you will be switching CD's with new areas/chapters.

madclicker 03-14-2001 03:57 AM

euh (in French) I mean hum,

My pb is that I have to change CDs as I evolve through the game (slowly that is) so there must be something that is not done correctly in my install

May I suggest the command line install type=1, should I change the install type ?

%BTW Thanks Moiraine for your welcome. I live PARIS.

Hourrah !!! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-.../1orglaugh.gif

And how much have you been wanting to do that Moiraine. The question I'd like answered is, after writing a French post, if Luc pops down, will you talk to him in Anglais?

FAIR DINKUM!

Moiraine 03-14-2001 07:10 AM

LOL !
Yes, I think I would answer to Luc in English !
The weird thing is, you can't know how this French post has been difficult to write ! Because this Board is English stuff to me now - my mind is set into it, and cant' seem to switch back. I kept thinking in English and had to translate !
