What class are you playing? You currently have 2 mages already (Nalia and Aerie). Jan is a thief/illusionist, either take him in and dump Nalia (but Nalia can advance higher into mage levels). I recommend you keep your party the way it is, but this is also dependent on what class your PC is.

I've got a half orc beserker. And im going to dump Nalia when i get imoen back

If you want the game to be more practical, don't worry about Jan and keep Nalia.
If you want more party talks and fun factor, take Jan then.
Also, if you plan to keep Anomen, then maybe you want to dump Aerie for Jan.
I would still go with Nalia for now, I like dual class better.

You need a thief, and Jan is a good thief. Nalia rarely finds any traps or picks any locks, so you need to get either Jan or Yoshimo. Jan talks a lot, and can be fun to have in your group, he is also quite good at picking pockets, find illussions, open locks, and find traps, which is almost all you want from a thief. He can backstab just as good/bad as Yoshimo, but he level up very slowly (like your Aerie) because he is a multiclassed character. It takes twice as long for him to level up compared to single classed characters.

Yoshimo on the other hand can set special traps that you can throw to the place you want instead of going there. But he hasn't many points in set traps, so you need to raise that ability. He doesn't have many points in pick pockets or detect illussions either, but maybe you don't need that.

Yeah, Yoshimo is GOOD! Nalia is rubbish. If you want romantic interest, take Aerie and Haer'Dalis! Haer'Dalis is also good at identification. About Yoshimo, though.... don't rely on him TOO much!

Jan is a well rounded Thief/Illusionist, Take him if you have an evil party or a extreamly neutral party since he dosen't mind being in the low reps. His enteractions with evil characters is extreamly funny. I like when Viconia sais won't he shut up? and Jan countinues to tell his stories.

let's see
Jaheira isn't really needed if you already have 2 clerics
I say don't trade Nalia or Aerie unless it's for another mage
You need 3 mages and you only have 2
but You'll have 3 with Jan traded for Jaheira
